  4. para-paraan lang yan. hehehe i only filed 2 days leave for this trip. work one saturday and spend a few hours more each day before the scheduled trip. voila, no need to file a long vacation. :)

  5. Butuan pala dapat, hindi Surigao mismo. abangan ko series na to! =)

  6. pwede rin Manila-Surigao, then Butuan-Manila. Malapit ang Bucas Grande sa Surigao, while malapit ang Hinatuan Enchanted River and Tinuy-an Falls sa Butuan. nauna kasi namin nabili ang plane tickets namin before we made the itinerary. the thing with choosing Butuan is that you have the option of going to Bucas Grande or Camiguin or even Davao. :) same lang ang distance nila. well, almost. :)

  9. great info! sa tingin mo ba ok lang magdala ng 7 month old baby, 6 yo and 3 yo kids sa bucas grande tour? buong pamilya kasi kami planong pupunta :)

  10. i'm a little bit uneasy about bringing small kids for the Sohoton Cove/Bucas Grande tour.. first of all, the waves are unusually restless, which is normal in those parts. second, the tour will involve mostly caves, which scare even the adults. if you plan on just staying in the resort, pwede siguro.

  12. Hello, thanks for this info! :) We will be there this coming june via Butuan airport. We plan to visit tinuy-an falls, enchanted river and britannia. However, we really have no idea kung pano at gano kalayo yung mga places I just read na may bus daw doon na laging may byahe throughout the day. Nde ba mahirap pag ganon? Were you able to arrange the transpo prior your trip? We also plan to go to bucas grande sana but it seems malayo iyun sa mga pupuntahan namin. KIndly give me the info of the transpo/inns/pension house, etc. na ini-stayan nyo so we could make prior arrangements im so concerned sa trip namin coz i'll be travelling with kids (5 and 1y.o.). Thank you in advance happysole :)

  13. Tinuy-an falls & Hinatuan falls - these are in Surigao del Sur. Bislig will be your jump off point. It is 3.5 hours away from Butuan by bus. Buses ply this route regularly. We stayed at Sheilah's Pension Hauz - 09217922432. I have yet to blog about it. Too busy these days. Sorry.

Bucas Grande - this is in Surigao del Norte. Socorro Port will be your jump off point. Butuan to Surigao City is 3 hours by bus and Surigao City to Socorro is 2.5 hours by boat. Buses ply this route regularly, while boats to Socorro is only until 11pm or 1pm, depending on boat capacity. The boat will leave as soon as it is full. We stayed at Bucas Grande Balanghai Hotel. Here is my post about the hotel: http://happysole.wordpress.com/2011/11/21/bucas-grande-accommodation-bucas-grande-balanghai-resort/

We made no prior arrangements with transpo or accommodation. But since you will be travelling with kids, it is best that you do make arrangement at least as to accommodation. Let me know if you need more info. :) Enjoy!

  19. hi, ask ko lang, di ba 12noon ang last trip ng mga ferry sa Hayanggabon port going to Bucas Grande? natuloy ba yung day 1 itinerary mo?

    ReplyDelete
  20. yes.. those listed were real time. if you noticed, we arrived at the port at around 12nn, but left at already 1245pm. the boats do not follow the schedule. they instead wait until it is full. :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. i see. pwede pa pala kami humabol. we have the same flight in butuan. another question, yung van from butuan dumerecho ng hayanggabon port? san makikita or makakakuha ng van na yun? how much fare?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Noong pumunta kami, meron van to Surigao City sa labas lang ng airport sa Butuan. Pwede nyo pakiusapan na hatid kayo sa Surigao City Port/Hayanggabon Port. As far as i can remember, yun ang ginawa namin kaya nahabol namin ang last trip ng ferry. Hope this helps! Good Luck & Enjoy! :)

  23. When is the best time to travel to enchanted river? Is it okay to bring a 6 month old baby with us? We really want to visit the place kaso I'm not sure if it is suitable for the baby. I hope I can get replies. Thanks!

  24. There was a lot of families when we were there. I think it's a popular family hang out for locals as well.

  25. hi! we have the same case. sa sobrang excitement kumuha agad kami ng ticket without searching the exact location of enchanted river. all we know is that, it is in Surigao. But when I researched it, I found out na malayo pala ang Surigao del Norte sa Hinatuan. Now, Im having a problem as to where and how to go in Enchanted River kasi mostly ng nababasa ko ang route nila ay Butuan. good thing, I read your blog.. Id like to ask for your help about our trip on how to go there if our route is Surigao del Norte, we dont want to waste the tickets from Manila to Surigao. And another good thing is that.. one way ticket pa lang nabibili namin. Like you, our plan since the best way is Butuan, is to buy tickets from Butuan to Manila naman. I hope you could help us. Thanks =)

    ReplyDelete
  26. hello! definitely use those tickets! :) you can do Manila-Surigao & Butuan-Manila. your question is how to get to Enchanted River from Surigao, right? first you need to get to Butuan. We took the bus (approx 2.5 hours). At the Butuan Bus Terminal, there are vans heading to Bislig. You should get off at Mangagoy. In Mangagoy, you can rent a van to get to Hinatuan (approx 45 mins). There's no other way, but through Butuan. I hope that answers your question.
