Bohol Pasalubong: Calamay

Bring home the sweetness of Boholanos. Inside the native coconut shell container is a local delicacy called Calamay. It is a sweet treat made from sticky rice that is grounded and cooked with coconut milk and dark sugar plus chopped peanuts (optional). A great pasalubong (gift) to friends and family. Php 30-35/piece. Although available in most supermarkets and tourist centers in the province, make sure to buy those made in Jagna - said to produce the best-tasting ones.
