Panglao Accommodation: Dumaluan Beach Resort II

One of two choices of places to stay in Panglao Island, Bolod Beach is a great choice for those looking for a peace and quiet vacay. (Alona Beach is the other choice.)

Dumaluan Beach Resort fanrooms are strategically located right smack in the center of Bolod Beach. It shares one of the best stretch of sand with Bohol Beach Club.

If you are not maarte/choosy/delicate with your accomodation, get a fanroom. Not only do you get to enjoy the fresh air, you can also view the beach without leaving your cottage.  Tip: the fanrooms are not published in the resort's website, specifically ask for them when making a reservation.

The beach right in front of the resort is not the best, but jump to the side of Bohol Beach Club and you get one of the best in the country. This is because just behind the line of fan room cottages is the Bohol Beach Club. That means, you can swim or walk your way to the other side without having to pay the entrance fee.

Room Rates are as follows:

Fan Room - Php 1,000/night - good for 2 persons
Standard Aircon - Php 1,300/night - good for 2 persons
Superior Deluxe - Php 2,150/night - good for two persons
Deluxe - Php 2,600/night - good for 2 persons
Executive Double - Php 3,500/night - good for 2 persons
Executive Family - Php 4,500/night - good for 4 persons
Executive Beach Front - Php 4,000/night - good for 2 persons
Junior Presidential - Php 5,000/night - good for 2 persons
Dumaluan Suite - Php 7,000/night - good for 5 persons

VERDICT:

Good: nice beach. beach front. a live band plays every night at the resorts main restaurant.
Bad: fanrooms do not have en suite bathrooms. not a lot of food choices in the area. fanrooms do not have sockets, but you may have your gadgets charged at the bar for a minimal fee.

  6. Hi,

I am going to Bohol on October with another friend (just us 2) and we would like to stay in this resort, and go around the next day with our own made-up itinerary (choc hills, tariser and mag-aso falls).

My question is, How did you get to this resort from Tagbiliran, and how much was it?

And do you know someone who can take us around on a fixed rate? Thanks!

  7. hello Diana

my relatives picked us up from the tagbilaran airport and let us borrow their vehicle (and driver) for the countryside tour. we just paid for the gas and gave a tip to the driver. however, you need not worry because there are a lot of drivers offering their vehicles for rent at the airport, at the mall, and at other tourist spots. depending on your negotiation skills, their daily rate range from Php 2500-3k, which may also include pick-up and drop off from/to airport to/from your resort. as a separate service, the trip from the airport to panglao usually cost Php 400 (tricycle) to Php 600 (sedan or van).

i met someone at the airport, but i havent tried his services. so i cannot really vouch for him. Arnold Lico - 0921.3581192. Enjoy your trip!

  14. hmm hindi eh. wala kasi kami reservation and yun nalang ang natitira na mura. hehehe ang maganda naman dito sa fanroom nila is that beachfront sya. literally.

    ReplyDelete
  19. yun po ang binayad namin.. but as a precaution in any transaction you enter into, both parties should agree on the price of an item before sealing the deal. always ask if the price already include tax, etc. :) good luck po!

  27. Great post. We're thinking about staying here next month. We're also considering a fan room because they're right in front of the beach, but I'm wondering if it might be hot and humid, especially at noon? What about at night? Was it noisy and were there mosquitoes around?

    ReplyDelete
  28. if you plan to stay indoors esp. at noon, the heat might pose a problem. but if you are out touring for most of the day, the fan room is adequate. the cool shower before retiring will lull you to sleep no problem.

i always bring a mosquitto repellant during my out of town trips.. thus, there were no sighting of mosquittoes during our whole stay there. :)

  29. Haha! Pwede na ang DBR... at least pwede tayo makatuntong sa tapat ng BBC w/o even paying the entrance fee just like what you've said.

Pero super affordable na ang rates nila ah... saw their superior deluxe rates in their website, pwede palang may extra person (w/ mattress and buffet breakfast) which only cost 400Php. ayos!
