Batanes Accommodation: Ivatan Lodge

Ivatan Lodge is a government-run place. It caters to the budget-conscious travellers. It has everything backpackers usually look for in a place - cheap, clean, and safe. There are a number of fan rooms and 2 airconditioned rooms on the 2nd floor. Safety is not a problem as there are staffs on duty during the day and a security guard at night. They don't serve meals, but there are a number of eateries nearby.

Be amazed with the beauty of Batanes, here.

Room Rates are as follows:

Single - P300
Double - P400
Triple - P600
Aircon - P1000 (2 rooms. max of 3 peeps in a room)
Family - P750

VERDICT:

Good: affordable - probably the cheapest in Batanes, clean, en suite bathroom, security guard at night, free mineral water refill, hot water for coffee, tea, or soup noodles is available 24 hours, friendly staff

Bad: indoor plumbing does not work but the staff are always onhand to fill the big water bucket inside the bathrooms anytime

  6. Hi, is Ms. Elisa Castillo's number a Batanes landline number or a cellphone number? If it's the latter, I think it has one extra digit. Care to clarify? Thanks!

  11. watch out for promos that Seair regularly gives away — Feb and Sept, for half the price during the Philippine Travel Tour Expo and the Philippine Travel Mart, and for various discounts year-round online. there's a new airline (Sky Pasada) flying the Manila-Basco route, but it is still expensive.
